Important dates to remember are listed below by category. We suggest marking them on your calendar to ensure that a deadline is not inadvertently overlooked.

PA Home Education Law Deadlines
June 30 (each year) – Yearly Evaluation due to local school district
August 1 (each year) – Affidavit and Objectives for continuing homeschoolers due to the local school district. (Affidavits should be filed as long as your student is being homeschooled, even if the student turns 18 in the senior year! Diplomas cannot be awarded to students who have not filed an affidavit!)
MDHSA Graduation Ceremony Dates and Deadlines
October/November – MDHSA uploads Graduation Ceremony information to the website and registration is officially open.
January/February – Contact your Evaluator to schedule an early evaluation to ensure your paperwork can be submitted by the last Friday in May.
March 31 – FINAL DEADLINE for Graduation Ceremony. Registration CLOSES and registration form is removed from the website.
April 30 – DEADLINE to place a congratulatory ad that will appear as a personal message in the MDHSA Graduation Ceremony program.
Mid-May – MDHSA sends a Graduation Ceremony Follow-up Letter to students participating in the Ceremony.
Last Friday in May – Final paperwork DUE in MDHSA office for Graduation Ceremony participants.
June 8 – FINAL DEADLINE for MDHSA to receive all missing/corrected paperwork from Diploma Program participants who are participating in the Graduation Ceremony.
June (typically the last Saturday) – MDHSA Graduation Ceremony
