While MDHSA appreciates and welcomes advertising of products or services applicable to homeschoolers, there are costs incurred when compiling, copying, and mailing the Newsletter. In order to recoup some of the costs, the following policies and fees have been implemented for any NON MEMBER who wishes to advertise through the MDHSA Newsletter. 
- All submitted advertisements are subject to review (see Refusal of Advertisements section).
- Advertising space preference will be given to products and services that seek to enrich or enhance the homeschooling experience or benefit homeschoolers in some manner. (Including services such as music lessons, tutoring, etc. and / or products such as books, games, curriculum, etc.)
- Products or services not homeschool-specific (exclusive) or pertaining to homeschooling may be submitted for review, but will only be published at the discretion of the Newsletter Editor and/or the Administrator.
- While MDHSA understands the desire to see one’s ad in print to ensure that it is acceptable, the privacy and safety of the member families at activities and events must be secured. Because the Newsletter contains personal and sensitive information, the entire Newsletter will not be distributed to advertisers. Instead, you will be emailed a PDF that contains the page of the newsletter that contains your advertisement.
- The Newsletter Editor is not responsible for original ads of poor graphic / pixel quality. Please ensure that your fonts, graphics, and overall ad is able to be sized appropriately for the Newsletter without marring the quality of the advertisement. Only .jpeg or .png files may be submitted for advertisements.
- Refunds will not be issued once the Newsletter has been published.
- Payments and advertisements are due BY the 25th of the month prior to the publication month.
Refusal of Advertisements
- The Newsletter Editor and/or Administrator will have discretion to refuse ads for being inappropriate or not in keeping with the MDHSA Philosophy and Organizational By-Laws and/or Statement of Faith.
- The Newsletter Editor may refuse ads based on size or lack of space, request that the ads be smaller for lack of space, or only accept an ad for a limited number of times.
- Decisions of the Newsletter Editor and Administrator are final.
